TERRY’S TIDBITS
KENTUCKY LEGISLATION I was snooping in the Kentucky government site on the web and saw these interesting little proposed bills. I thought I’d pass them on. These bills are pre-filed for 2004. See link 04RS BR81. Stan Lee(?), one of our representatives wants to put an end to tongue splitting once and for all! Only a physician may split tongues. Anyone else guilty of splitting tongues would be subject to a class D felony conviction. Well, it’s about time, I say. There are entirely too many people running around out there talking out of both sides of their mouths. See link 04RS BR150 and 04RS BR160, sponsored by Lonnie Napier(R) and Rick Nelson(?). These guys want the government to recognize marriages only between men and women. You gays and lesbians out there are getting plenty of notice as this bill is pre-filed for 2004.
LITTLE PERCEPTIONS “Life is lived forwards, but understood backwards.” Soren Kierkegaard, 1813-1855 “Computers in the future may weigh no more than 1.5 tons.” Popular Mechanics, 1949 “They couldn’t hit an elephant at this dist-“ General John Sedgwick’s last words Uttered during a U.S. Civil War Battle, 1864
BLACKOUT Did you ever notice how stuff like this happens in “World Class Cities?” I wonder if these places have extreme parks with no bathrooms. I think this is God’s way of saying, “You people aren’t suppose to bunch up together and call yourselves refined. See what happens? Now get humble.” Homeland Security eased our minds by letting us know that they are there if needed. They haven’t been called yet. As soon as possible after the power failed, the United States blamed Canada. It turns out that the origin of the Blackout was somewhere in Ohio, a known hotbed of Terrorist activity. President Bush commented on the Blackout by rambling some. He let us know that the federal government was there with support and working with all agencies that may be of service. He assured us that the feds were there for us should we need them. I haven’t heard if we called them yet. After all of his wonderful words to assure us that matters were being looked into, he said that the government was also working on getting the power back on.
