GUNS AND STUFF
By Terry Gray
Rhode Island is raising a whole new
generation of arms dealers. Kids are being encouraged to turn in their toy guns
for money. Considering that the group responsible for this is obviously
subversive, given their attitude against the 2nd Amendment, they are
not only training future arms dealers, they are training them to deal arms with
liberal, subversive attitudes.
If this organization is so intent upon
destroying the 2nd Amendment, perhaps it should look at the ownership
and usage of guns by the military and police. Let’s face it; soldiers and cops
are people too. Should we expect any less danger from firearms when they are in
the hands of soldiers and cops? It seems to me that soldiers carry weapons
specifically to kill. Cops do too, given their training to fire at the biggest
target, the chest. Yes, they carry these weapons to protect the law-abiding
citizens of America. It’s kind of like you and me having weapons to protect our
homes and family.
My daughter never owned toy guns. When she
developed an interest in weapons, I took her out to fire the real thing. I
taught her firearms safety, marksmanship, and responsibility. I believe that
toy guns are bad things in that they take away the reality of what a gun can
do. It’s just that liberals will not replace the toys with real guns when a
child has the interest. And kids will be interested in guns. They wield power
and make big noises -- like politicians. It’s natural for them, but they need
to be taught the responsibility of gun ownership, not the fantasy line of “guns
are bad”.
