I'm really not a warring type of person unless it's the world against the Democrats.  But if we must fight then make it worthwhile.

This war was never about Iraqi freedom and most folks know it.  AND, we won't change a thing there.

All through history wars were fought and the spoils went to the winners.  Most times the wars were OVER the spoils.  People tell me that we are much more civilized now and we don't do that, especially as Americans.  I don't think I understand the concept of civilized when we spend billions of dollars on equipment specifically designed to kill.  That ain't civilized.

Now, as any first year psychology student would tell you, you can't help someone else until you help yourself.  Clean up your own backyard first, etc.  The billions of dollars spent on Iraq could have done a whole lot here on the homefront, from strengthening our defenses to turning our economy around.  We could have fed the hungry right here at home.  I'm not for handouts but I'd much rather give hand outs to my neighbors than a bunch of foreigners that will end up spitting in my face.

So, what is wrong with taking some of the spoils for ourselves as we give these people their cherished freedom?  What is the price of liberation and why are we the debt holders?  They have the assets to pay for their liberation and I would TAKE payment.

Enough said.

Terry
