Galilean Home - Impressive Example of Charity in Kentucky

A few days ago, there were impressive reports in Louisville’s newspaper about the Galilean home, a private charity in Kentucky that helps children.  The home cares for orphans, children who have come to the U.S. for medical treatment, and the children of women who are in prison, and it is entirely funded through voluntary donations, with no government money being used.

Many of us regularly claim that voluntary, private charity, without government interference, provides much better service to people in need than does a force-based, tax-funded arrangement.  This charity appears to be an example of that theory in action.  While we have not personally visited the Galilean Children’s Home, it does appear to be worth your consideration.
