A Jefferson Family Court judge sealed the divorce file of State Senator Julie Rose Denton who is running for re-election.  The law permits some matters related to custody proceedings to be sealed to protect the welfare of the children involved.

Now the Courier-Journal has asked the judge to un-seal the file, arguing that she is a public figure and the file should be open, stating that “the fact that the court file may contain information that is embarrassing or distasteful is not sufficient to justify closure.”

I have only one question for the Courier-Journal,  HAVE YOU NO SHAME!
