I enjoyed that little "flashback moment" I had this morning reading about Randy Atcher and Cactus "Tom" Brooks.

I  also celebrated my 6th birthday on "T BAR V Ranch Time" ......... sporting my birthday present, which was a Hopalong Cassidy Sixshooter set ......... boys would get to "draw" on the count of three, and show the TV land crowd what a "fast draw" we were ......... of course, Randy would always say it was one of the fastest draws he ever saw...........  and the boy would beam !!!!

We would always gather around the TV when someone we knew was gonna be on ...... it was a real novelty back then and a real treat. I even still remember the song they would have all the children sing together as the show would go off the air ..............

"Brush your teeth each morning,

and say your prayers at night,

Mind your Mom and Daddy,

Cause they know what is right,

Be sure you look both ways

Before you cross the street,

And be with us tomorrow night,

When it's time for T Bar V  "

Funny the things that stick in your mind ....... never had a problem memorizing that, but that Latin Mass for the altar boys, now that was an altogether different story !!
