I'm Nick Karem, Libertarian for metro council District 11, asking for your support to have a government as it was intended,  run by ordinary citizens who serve then go back to real jobs--not by professional politicians with full benefits and even pensions!

I was a registered Democrat for over 30 years.  The result, higher taxes, less freedom.  I looked at the other major party and found more of the same.  Libertarians offer another way, lower taxes, less government, more freedom.  There are really just two political parties today, the Libertarian Party and everyone else.  Libertarians want you to keep your money and run your own life. 

The biggest job of the new government will be the budget.  I want to control spending, and reduce your taxes so you keep more of your hard-earned money.

This past year we've demonstrated how a small group of determined citizens can make a difference. 

Libertarians and others,  worked together to get rid of  a sham program, the VET.  But a small group of local politicians and bureaucrats are still trying to find a loophole in the law that will let them hang on to the power and money generated by the VET.

I will work to make sure programs do what they're intended.  I will work to see that the outdated VET tailpipe test is truly ended next year.
