Dear Mr Hill,

The trolley went out  a hundred years ago, because better, faster,  safer,
more useful and flexible forms of  transportation   came along.  The trolley
also pollutes with the electrical arching.

600 Million for  number of riders  is about $40,000 each to build the
thing....... not  even operate or maintain it.   We could buy them all a car
and gas for life.   And they could actually GO somewhere, AND TAKE OTHERS,
besides ride up and down a 13 mile stretch of I-65.....

If people are nostalgic for the train,  they can ride one in Corydon, and I
am sure  KY Kingdom  has  some kind of CHO- CHO too.

Light rail will not take any cars off the road,  is expensive, most people
won't ride it that already don't ride the bus, the route doesn't go where the
people go,you need a car to get to rail station,  and It will take tax
dollars away from  roads and  highways and bridges,  that people want and
need.   In Louisville you can get anywhere in 30 minutes. Using light rail
will take over an hour or more to do the same commute. If we want
"regionalism", we need better roads and bridges to connect us to surrounding
communities.

Pure and simple:  Light rail  is a  waste of our tax dollars, and our
community has many needs and cannot afford such an extravagant " lesson" in
the school of hard knocks!

 Sincerely,

Donna Walker Mancini
