Donna Mancini's Elegant Protest

On Friday, September 13, at 11:45 a.m., Donna Walker Mancini, Libertarian candidate for Metro Mayor, had an elegant lunch on the sidewalk outside Vincenzo’s, complete with white tablecloth, candles, and flowers, to protest her exclusion from the mayoral candidate debate sponsored by the Louisville Forum that was being held inside Vincenzo's.

She also handed out literature promoting her candidacy and her positions on important issues facing Louisville as well as handing out bags of M&M's, "courtesy of Mancini for Metro Mayor".

The Forum refused to allow Mancini to participate in its debate, despite her very impressive performance in a September 5th debate sponsored by the League of Women Voters.  Mancini said, “I respect the right of a private organization like the Forum to invite anyone it wants to its debate, but, by leaving me out, it is preventing the people from hearing some great ideas for promoting the progress of our community.”
