Re:  July 22 article on planning:

Nice article.  You do realize that all the writing, all the
fuming, all the brainstorming, all the crying, etc. that we do will do no
good.  I don't think anything worth mentioning will happen to change the
way the government operates until everybody misses a few meals.  Too many
people recognize that this government is thriving on their freedoms and
money but so many are content to give up so much in order to keep what
they have.  The government uses strong arm tactics and then doles out
cookies to those who COMPLY.  If you fight them they will get you.
In reading the city ordinances recently I was appalled at the
lack of freedom that we do have.  The government can pretty much do what
they want to you without consequence.  There are penalties in the
ordinances for people who do not COMPLY.  There are no penalties for
government agencies who do not COMPLY.
Oh well, here are a couple of more little things that I've
written and I hope that THESE make your publication.
        See ya later.

Editor’s note: I don't believe that you really think our efforts won't make a difference.  If you did, you wouldn't bother to write.  Ideas do matter.  If Marx and Keynes could do such a wonderful job of screwing up the world and killing millions of people with their disastrous ideas, surely it is possible to improve matters at least a little bit with the right ideas.  Don't give up!
