EXTREME STUPIDITY

By Terry Gray

I’m no rocket scientist as most of our fearless leaders are, so I wasn’t prepared for the deluge of accidents occurring in the Extreme Park.  It took me by surprise that our fearless leaders expected anything different though.

When you mix thousands of kids, wheeled vehicles, and a challenging concrete labyrinth to play on, what is to be expected?  I don’t understand how this was overlooked.  When I think about it, I do believe that it was planned to be a problem.  It couldn’t be an oversight that the perils are just now being discovered.  Did our proud leaders think this would be a pajama party?

The problems in the park will allow the city to create a few more little rules and open the door to more regulation.  It’s a typical government scam.

Mayor Dave said on T.V. tonight that you can’t enforce use of a helmet in this park when Kentucky laws do not enforce the use of helmets on motorcycles.  Did this guy ever take a course in logic?  “Duh, I can’t climb a bean pole when they are raising bananas in South America.”  Who is this idiot?  Helmet laws for consenting adults on powered vehicles have nothing whatsoever to do with kids on skateboards in a park.  And yes, you can enforce helmet rules in the park.  You simply say, “No helmet, no play.”  You make stupid rules all the time, why stop now?

I do believe that Dave is fervently protecting his legacy.  The extreme park is all he’s got.  He is also taking a jab at bikers not being required to wear helmets.  “Psssst Dave, stick to something that you can control.  Now go on back to your sand box and play nice.”

So the old government under the leadership of supreme Dave built a multi-million dollar park for kids to play in, encouraged them to drink plenty of fluids, and built no restrooms.  (I wonder where we would have pee’d at an NBA game?)  Now they expect kids not to get hurt while using a concrete park for its exact intended purpose.  “Golly Wally, they’re falling down and bleeding.  I wonder why?”  And now they are worried about lawsuits. They should have their asses sued off just for being stupid.

Every day I look around at the world and see normal human beings going about their daily lives.  Then I see politicians and the governments that they head.  I wonder why so many intelligent people buy into the crap that we are fed by the stupid people that we elect.  The politicians are for the most part non-effectual, out of touch, and useless.  And God forbid that we get one in office who is effective, in touch and useful.  His peers build walls around him, isolate him from the decision making process and eventually get rid of him.  Which is something else that bothers me.  How can they remove a person from office whom the people have elected?  That is wrong.  I can understand removing a president because we didn’t elect him anyway, the Electoral College did that.

          I digress.  Until next time,
