Taking it
to the chin
By Ed
Lewis
I have never
before responded publicly to criticisms or emails sent to me but have always
responded privately. However, I received two - I don’t know what article(s)
they were in response to – that clearly show that there isn’t any need to use
the fastest communication tool we have available to help educate those who are
uninformed. Or, to possibly use the Internet to put a different slant on things
which should matter to every American.
According to
the critic, it would seem that I, and many others like me, have wasted our
time. The critic, who did not sign his name, gave me the solution to all our
problems.
“Comments: So, Mr. Lewis, when was
the last time you stuck a gun in a bureaucrat's face and told him to "back off!"
or else.
Or are you waiting for someone else to do it first?”
Why is it that one always thinks
of the best responses after one initially responds?
Anyway, I simply sent back the
statement “About the same time you did” presuming, of course, that the person
writing this had never stuck a gun in some bureaucrat’s face and told him to
back off, that he is waiting for someone else to do it for him.
Then, I realized this person had
the solution to all the problems that exist in government.
It would seem by the person’s
questions that the only action we need to do when we live in some little obscure
town (mine is about 5000 in population), any time an official infringes upon a
right, is march right down to wherever the official is, stick a gun in his face,
and then demand that he back off.
Of course, the official will
respond as we wish and the incident will make the national news. After several
weeks of the individual using this solution to tyranny by government, all the
American people will know the solution. The mainstream media will make sure of
it. Thus, in short order, our Republic would be re-established with all the
tyrants removed from government.
“Short order” is stated, because
all people will realize public officials making and ordering unconstitutional
laws are in violation of the Constitution. They will know because mainstream
media always tells the truth. Because of this obligation to the people, the
media will pass on to those who have been wronged by a government official that
they can simply walk up to the official – whether in City Hall, a local
business, a court of the government or the police station – with the loaded
firearm he is free to carry openly throughout the nation, pull it out, and
demand the official “back off”.
I realize now that the thousands
of hours spent studying and researching, along with learning how to write
somewhat effectively, that the thousands of articles sent out first by snail and
then via the Internet in getting published the first time, and then the hundreds
of articles written since that have been published by various Internet
magazines, journals, liberty websites, and others has been a waste of my time.
According to the person, all I had
to do was confront every official, stick a loaded gun in his face, and demand he
back off. After doing this with dozens of officials, I would not have had to
write even one article, as the honest folks of mainstream media would have let
everyone know how well my solution was working.
What a hero! I could have single
handedly made every member of Congress, the Executive and Judicial Branches of
the US Government, state legislatures, city governments, county governments, and
all judges, prosecutors, and law enforcers get back into the limitations placed
on government without all the time and effort I had expended. I could have
restored our Republic by being “first” to stick a loaded gun into some
official’s face and then using the same action against official after official.
The only problem might have been
finding out where Bush and Cheney are, since both spend so much time out of the
office, Bush at his ranch and other places, and – as far as Cheney is concerned
– I would likely have had to penetrate US Government covert operations to find
out where he is since the majority of time none but a select few know.
But, hey, no problem. All I have
to do is stick a gun in their face and tell them to cough up the information I
need.
Yeah, right.
Then, I got this email (again, cut
and pasted to avoid any mistakes or pulling phrases out of context):
“Dear Mr. Ed. Lewis,
The Germans, according to Mrs. Adele Fleming in our 1953 private school class in
southern California, were the best of the educated Europeans in 1936. And yet
they too were seduced by their various governments into believing the illusions
of Mr. Adolph Hitler. The Germans did not have democratic traditions and one of
the traditions they did have was societal obedience. As long as they obeyed they
felt safe. Safe. Safety first. Safety above all things. Just like us. If you
truely want to do something for your country, why not try to organize the people
in, say, your State, because one of the
reasons why some parts of our government want to exercise extreme control over
our populations or simply is incompetant is becuause we are not organized to
combat
it. They think they are in control and they, the government are generally
correct. And stop whining about it!
Michael A. Bender”
Again, why is
it one thinks of what to say after the first response? Apparently, these
comments caused some degree of turmoil within me even though I dismissed them
after responding by asking how he knows what I do within my state.
I didn’t
realize I was “whining”. I thought I was presenting facts in a straightforward
manner in order to help people realize the importance of uniting and doing away
with the divisions the federal government and its controllers depend on and
doing as much as I could in passing along the information I found through
research.
Never mind
that most people have never learned the intent and meaning of the Constitution
and that the Christian concepts it is based on must be taught. Never mind the
years of government controlled education and the falsehoods that have been
ingrained in most Americans' minds. Never mind the propaganda spewing forth
from disinformationists, even though it must be overcome to fully understand the
Republic form of government.
The German
people may have been the best educated in comparison to other people in Europe,
but they were still stupid enough to give up their firearms and remove their
means of defense against Hitler.
So, regardless of “book learning”, the educational system failed them. Just as
the educational system here apparently failed Bender.
Whether
Germany was a democracy before Hitler, I don’t know and am not going to take my
time finding out. What I do know is that this union of Republics is NOT
supposed to be a “democracy” – it is a Republic form of government, which means
the individual sovereign’s unalienable rights are the focus, not what the
majority or any minority might believe is best.
However,
through deceit and armed force, we far more resemble a democracy than a
Republic. And the parallels to Germany are clear, even down to using close to
the same terminology, such as “fatherland” being changed to “homeland”. All
democracies – as an added note – have and will fail because sooner or later
those who do not want to be oppressed by minorities will rise up against this
form of government.
Currently, we
have the 535 members of Congress, Bush (Cheney doesn’t count for anything as he
hasn’t any real duties except for breaking a tie in a Senate vote), the 9
Supreme Court justices, and the 12 owners of the Federal Reserve Bank for a
total of 557 people controlling. This is definitely a minority.
Of course,
there are thousands of other officials from municipalities to state governments
– including political subdivisions – that follow the lead of these people, along
with tens of thousands of law enforcers who deny their primary duty daily – that
duty being to protect the rights of the individual by upholding the
Constitution. In fact, most of these categories of officials do not know and
therefore cannot take the Constitution and unalienable rights into
consideration. They operate solely on the Gestapo/Monarch/Dictator premise of
plenary control over the people.
One could go
further than this and make the statement that the majority of people do not know
this is a Republic, not a democracy. But, I can travel to every populated area
all over the country and soon straighten them out. And, the mainstream media
will help me by printing the truth as I expound it. Sure enough – let me get at
it.
As to this:
“The Germans did not have
democratic traditions and one of the traditions they did have was societal
obedience. As long as they obeyed they felt safe. Safe. Safety first. Safety
above all things. Just like us.”
(Above – Bender’s email)
Hmm, does
this mean that millions of Germans weren’t slaughtered and that the 50 million
(mostly civilians) who died during the manufactured World War II were “safe”
because they had put “safety first” by obeying edicts from tyrannical
government?
Sorry, Mr.
Bender, rolling over to the tyrants is what has been done for the past 150
years. If the educational process I have undertaken is whining, then the proper
action for me is to discontinue putting the tremendous effort it has taken to
learn the truth, making my thoughts available to as many people as possible, and
urging that the people get united by putting aside their petty differences.
To sum up,
the proposal by the idiot above asking when was the last time that I held a gun
in an official’s face is ludicrous as a solution. One gives up any feelings
concerning personal safety when one initiates his first actions against any
level of government, but one man holding one official at gunpoint would
absolutely serve no useful purpose. All such an asinine act would accomplish is
an American (in every sense of the word) getting his head blown off with most
people never knowing why.
And, wouldn’t
it be rather dumb NOT to use the fastest and most effective means of
communication we have available to us in attempting to get people to organize?
You know, it
is interesting and most informative that many people, including family and
friends, expressed great fear for me when City Hall was taken on. And, it is
just a small town’s government.
People
continue giving me warnings as articles about the treasonous Bush mob, the utter
treason of courts, law enforcers, and not only about Congress but also to
Congress, are written. Such warnings reflect the fear people have of
government, one of the main reasons for this American’s continued giving up of
time and expending great effort.
Anyway, any
writer takes it on the chin occasionally or quits writing. Most, of course,
prefer taking it on the chin through intelligent commentary backed by facts, not
ludicrous thinking and ignorant comparisons based possibly on hearsay rather
than fact.
But, these
two did give me pause to think – am I whining and wasting my time and effort?
Would it be better to confine myself locally as Bender seems to think or to not
do anything other than stick a gun in some official’s face as “anonymous” seems
to think?
And, so I
think.
P.S.
Thankfully, while considering whether my efforts have been wasted, several
emails were received from people who wanted additional information based on
articles I have written, to pass on information about what they are doing,
and/or to join forces. Between those and the hundreds of others responded to in
the past three years, a force to be reckoned with is developing.
Probably
99 percent of the people writing are people who have – or are overcoming – their
fear of government. At least, the fear has been sufficiently suppressed so that
they can take action. They are getting things done against tyranny without
sticking a firearm in anyone’s face and are beginning to work together to right
the many wrongs rather than bending over for “safety’s sake”.
That is
the America and the Americans I love and will, if necessitated, die for.
