Taking it to the chin     By Ed Lewis     I have never before responded publicly to criticisms or emails sent to me but have always responded privately.  However, I received two - I don’t know what article(s) they were in response to – that clearly show that there isn’t any need to use the fastest communication tool we have available to help educate those who are uninformed.  Or, to possibly use the Internet to put a different slant on things which should matter to every American.

What is scary about our times is how easy it is to get Americans to give up our most basic rights if you just use some pretty words. You can violate the "equal protection of the laws" provided by the 14th Amendment if you use the word "diversity" and you can violate the free speech protections of the First Amendment if you call it "campaign finance reform."
