How Does Testing Cars Make The Air Cleaner?

By Donna Walker Mancini

Chairman, Libertarian Party of Kentucky

Day by day, the Courier-Journal insults and criticizes the local citizens who have the courage and intelligence to want to END the fraudulent VET scam, that basically denies all truth and logic concerning Air Pollution.  Common Sense dictates that WE BREATHE the Same air you do!  We “VET HATERS” seem to be the ONLY people who really want to clean the AIR!!!  The VET Causes, not prevents, INCREASED Air Pollution by shifting the Blame from industrial polluters and natural environmental factors to the Motorists!  Cars do pollute, but, because we drive newer and cleaner cars with mandatory pollution control equipment, cars are no longer a major source of Air Pollution!  Trust me, you are doing your share to clean the air!!!

If you disagree, Dear Omnipotent Newspaper GOD, Please tell your readers HOW??? This magnificent VET test Cleans the Air!!! I am beside myself trying to figure out how testing a car that passes a test anyway improves air quality or cleans the air!!  If a student takes the SAT test, will he become smarter?  If I take a cholesterol test, will my blood cholesterol be lower??  The VET test stops Air Pollution like putting skinny people on the scale stops obesity!

Am I missing something somewhere?

To my fellow citizens who feel good about yourselves because YOU happily go to the VET and “Give” your $11.00 “for the children”…I would love to hear YOUR explanation of WHY you think you are cleaning the Air or helping the environment.

I think YOU need to use your head and quit relying on the propaganda spewed by those who gain big bucks and power from Herding the SHEEPLE!!!

I urge you to THINK and be logical!  Stop the VET and Clean the AIR!!
