Governor Patton:
I am writing to you today, to urge you in the strongest possible terms, to sign
any legislation that should reach your desk that would eliminate VET testing in
Kentucky.
We have learned enough by now to realize, that, the VET has ABSOLUTELY NOTHING
to do with cleaner air! In fact, just the opposite is true!
Yesterday, I included you on a recipient list for a letter to the editor of the
Louisville Courier-Journal and the JeffersonReview.com. My position on this
issue should be made crystal clear from reading that letter. THE VET PROGRAM IS
A FRAUD! ANYONE who doesn't realize this fact by now, has simply not been paying
attention. ANYONE who HAS been paying attention, and continues to support the
VET, is an accessory to fraud!
If increased costs to business and industry, of pollution reduction equipment
and regulation, causes business and industry in Kentucky to become uncompetitive
(a HIGHLY unlikely scenario), then, perhaps, it is time to reevaluate the
pollution question on a cost/benefit analysis. [Personally, I think it is long
PAST time this were done!]
I sincerely hope you will seriously consider my words here; and that you will
immediately sign any legislation that reaches your desk that will ELIMINATE VET
TESTING throughout the Commonwealth of Kentucky. Thank you.
Sincerely,
Claude A. Bohn
