Letter to Ron Crimm:

This past summer my father and I went to South Carolina to play in a father-son golf tournament. We picked up a paper in Columbia, S.C. and on
the front page of the paper the town was preparing for there no sales tax weekend. The paper reported the local mall had 40,000 visitors on a Friday. What an innovative idea. No sales tax on purchases for a whole weekend. Why can't we do this in Kentucky. We are always lagging behind the counrty in ideas and leadership. Let's try this no sales tax for a weekend just one
year and see what happens. If it is good, let's keep doing it. If not, scrap it and try something else. Just thought I would pass on what we
thought was a good idea. Take care.
