I read with interest your article on
the Smart Growth Conference held October 10 in Louisville.
Apparently Kansas City is planning one of those "idyllic"
communities near us with a proposal known as Zona Rosa. Government
officials say they believe the development will create "a sense of
place" by providing a pedestrian-oriented district of shops, offices
and residences with a main street and green space. Sound familiar?
If it is similar to what is proposed in Kentucky, watch out, Missouri!
