"The notion that a radical is one who hates his country is naive and
usually idiotic. He is, more likely, one who likes his country more than
the rest of us, and is thus more disturbed than the rest of us when he
sees it debauched. He is not a bad citizen turning to crime; he is a good
citizen driven to despair." - H.L. Mencken

Concerning the October 2 story in the Lexington Herald-Leader, regarding
the State sponsored gun-lock campaign: In this brief article, one is
immediately exposed to the level of "victimization" that has
been inflicted on an ignorant and credulous population by their own
"domestic" traitors and "terrorist." I am referring to
those pragmatic opportunist
and trimmers we euphemistically refer to as "politicians," and
their fawning propagandists in our "so-called "free" press
and academe. The American "sheeple" have now, nearly completely,
surrendered their rights - and their brains? - to these folks, in a
Faustian bargain to trade freedom for the illusion of security.
A gun lock cannot, should not, be placed on a loaded weapon; and an
unloaded (and locked?) gun is merely a paper weight; it is as useless as
teats on a boar! Forget the gun locks! They are merely another State
sponsored - and taxpayer funded - attempt to demonize guns in general, and
the birthright of every freeman, the right of SELF defense,
specifically. After all, the average citizen is much too stupid and
incompetent to be "trusted" to defend himself; that task MUST be
surrendered to our masters. Poppycock! That's the same nonsense Hitler
spoon fed to the German citizens - aided by the propaganda ministers in
the media. Will we continue to ignore the lessons and the results of that
Big Lie? Ask someone who lived in Nazi Germany how "secure" they
felt after they surrendered their right to self protection to "the
authorities".
My father owned guns throughout my entire childhood, and not once was I,
nor any of my siblings, tempted to touch them without his permission and
his presence. The main reason for our lack of puerile curiosity was the
fact that my father educated us about guns. This he saw as his
responsibility, and he took it as seriously as any other. Of course, if
you refuse to be responsible for yourself, the government will be only too
happy to assume the task for you. After all, it's for your own good.
Sincerely,
Claude A. Bohn
