The Attack
on Our Country
by Gordon
Francis Corbett
On 11 September last, two commandeered airliners slashed into the
World Trade Center’s twin towers, collapsing them in mushrooms of
imploding flame, and kindling a blaze in our souls that shall burn until
our assailants have been cast into a fire of our own.
To make that possible, we must remember first never to confuse the
monkey with his organ-grinder. The
terrorist organizer is a tool who works for money, and his labor is not
cheap. The fellow we want
most is the one who paid the organizer to wreak Black Tuesday’s horror.
I suspect Saddam Hussein.
In the mean time, we must remember the adage, “When a war is
born, truth dies.” Truth is
the life’s blood of liberty, but our paid public servants are already
trying to limit our information. When
a passenger locked in a commandeered Boeing 757’s bathroom called 911,
and the emergency center notified the F.B.I., they seized the tape.
Unless letting us hear its contents would somehow help our enemies,
they should release it forthwith.
Similarly, we must watch for any attempt to “demonize” any
religion, especially Islam. Author Tom Clancy pointed out in a C.N.N. interview that
Islam did not cause these crimes. These
terrorists committed suicide, and Islam consigns its suicides to its
version of Hell.
We must keep our heads about us.
We must remember that only those who ordered, organized, and paid
for these crimes deserve punishment.
Many years ago, terrorists commandeered TWA 845 and ordered it to
Beirut. A television network
asked several experts how we could prevent further abductions.
Edward Luttwak replied that we should kill the politicians who
employ the terrorists.
What do you know: there
is a simple solution to a complex problem.
Our government’s tasks: identify,
locate, and kill.
