Dan Johnson responds to criticism of his $100,000 gift of tax money to Lindy's:

I sent Dan Johnson an e-mail regarding his judicious use of our tax dollars for his pals at Lindy's. Here's my e-mail and his response. Having people like Dan watching the henhouse..er .our tax dollars really helps us all sleep well at night!

Dan,

(Per a report on the internet @ www.Jeffersonreview.com)  You didn't really give Lindy's a hundred thousand bucks of the taxpayers money to open a restaurant, did you?

Say it ain't so, Dan, because that would have been a very boneheaded thing to do.

Giving a huge amount of cold cash to a private business person on the pretense that providing a "good restaurant" somehow serves the public good!...ouch!..sounds more like the lead story for a local investigative reporter.

Check out www.Jeffersonreview.com, then tell me it ain't so, Dan.
