Wow! This just may be the best JeffersonReview yet; though that would be a hard contest to judge. I particularly liked the Daniel Webster quote;kind of says it all, don't it?
I also thoroughly enjoyed the article on copyrights/property rights and the one on how our money is being spent - or, rather, MIS-spent - by our elected "representatives" in Jefferson Co., Kentucky. Alas! It seems to be the same all over. But I am less than optimistic about the utility of contacting Alderman Johnson regarding this issue. I believe he has had this type of folly pointed out to him before, on numerous occasions, with little effect. Hopefully, merger will bring an end to his career as Santa Claus, and the careers of so many like him as well.
I also enjoyed Mark Webster's review of David McCullough's book on John Adams; and the advice on how to shield your credit info from prying eyes was very much appreciated and will be put to good use, thanks so much!
