Hotel July 18-20, 2001. The Thursday conference featured a women's
initiative, strategy sessions, and the business of the committee.
Accomplishments of the first 180 days of the Bush Administration were
examined as well as plans for the next six months.

"Smart Growth" Plan Threatens Property Rights
A tremendous threat to property rights lurks in the future if Patton's
Army has its way. It is called "Smart Growth," but in
reality it is not smart and it is not the kind of growth we need.
Proponents of the initiative say it will preserve Kentucky's green space
and protect the environment. However, "Smart Growth" is little
more than a big government step toward statewide zoning.
