1. Former Democrat Chairman Campaigns for McConnell
Former KDP Chairman Bob Babbage crossed the state with Mitch McConnell
Tuesday to announce he'll lead "Democrats for McConnell" in the
Republican senator's 2002 re-election bid. Babbage's support of
Kentucky's senior senator is part of the growing trend of defections to
the Kentucky Republican Party by Democrats across the state.
Kentucky Democrat Party Chairwoman Nicki Patton was quick to sling mud.
"Bob's decision isn't based on issues or Party philosophy. This
is about personal gain and his personal agenda."
Rest assured, Mitch's challenger Lois Combs Weinberg and Kentucky
Democrats are in for a tough battle next fall when most of their own party
will be voting against their own candidate.

2. Condolences for State Senator Seum & Family
We send our condolences to State Senator Dan Seum & Family on Thursday
evening the Senator's mother passed away. Please include the Seum
Family in your prayers as this has been a difficult time for him and the
entire family.
For those who do not know Senator Seum he is the former Democrat from
Louisville that made the bold and critical switch to the Republican Party
that gave us control of the State Senate, we truly are all in his debt.
