As It Turns Out, Clinton Actually Did Have An
Energy Policy.
by Randy
Barker
Poor Bill Clinton. Not only has he been pelted with eggs in Poland, but
blamed by the Republicans for not having had an energy policy in the
previous eight years. This charge has proven to be untrue. In an article
published last Sunday on newsmax.com , it's reported that Clinton did, in
fact, have an energy policy.
Only it was for Communist China, not the U.S.
It seems that Bill Clinton is directly responsible for the Quinshan
nuclear
power plant near Shanghai that provides electricity for, among other
things,
the Chinese shipyard building warships that could be used against us, or
Taiwan, in the future.
To build that plant, in 1997, China asked the Export-Import Bank of the
United States to lend them $360 million in low-interest loans at rates
below
those our electric power companies can get in the U.S. But this would have
been impossible to do without Bill Clinton as President declaring it was
in
our "national interest" to do so. Otherwise, U.S. Law bans the
financing of
loans to "Marxist-Leninist" countries, which the People's
Republic of China
certainly is.
The Clinton/China Connection never seems to stop. The latest is the
allegation that Roger Clinton was the recipient of special deals from
Beijing. This came to light during the PardonGate investigation being
conducted by U.S. Attorney Mary Jo White. The purported special deal took
the form of China offering CLM, Roger's former company, building products
under cost, which were then resold in the United States at huge profits.
Was this part of a payback for the Quinshan power plant? Or for Clinton
signing off on giving China access to our national secrets?
The Clintons really make the Mafia look like a bunch of amateurs. In a
recent episode of the Soprano's on HBO, Carmela Soprano, while having
lunch with other wives married to the Mob, concluded that Hillary Clinton
"is a role model for all of us." Tony Soprano should be saying
the same thing about Bill Clinton.
But enough of my admiration for Slick Willy. Let's just hope that Bush
gets
to implement his energy policies. Maybe then Dick Gephardt will be able to
continue driving his gas-guzzling Chevy Suburban to press conferences
bashing Bush about energy policy. And maybe we can even help oil-rich
Iran, which is being plagued by nationwide California-like power outages.
Could it be that Governor Gray Davis has been doing some international
consulting?
