Louisville's first Spelling and Reading Camp.
This four-week camp begins with the easy-to-learn phonemes and graphemes
of correct English spelling, and, integrating all language strands,
promotes the child's reading and spelling ability up to two grade levels
using neurologically based learning styles: seeing, hearing, saying and
writing.
Once taught through the camp, the program can be easily brought into the
home for continued instruction.
Future rewards are higher-level reading and spelling skills! This is the
easy-to-learn sills system you've been looking for!
Who can attend?
Classes are available to children entering 2nd grade in the fall through
adult. Students will be placed according to reading/spelling level, NOT
grade level. Parents are encouraged to attend the camp (free of charge)
with their children.
LOCATION:
At Highland Park First Baptist Church in Louisville, Kentucky. Highland
Park is located on Billtown Road. Take the Gene Snyder Expressway to
Billtown Road. Turn South and go one mile. HPFB is on the
left.
DATE/TIME:
June 18 through July 14. This is a Monday-Friday program beginning each
day at 8:30 and ending at noon. (Note: Saturday, July 14 is a make-up day
for the July 4th holiday)
COST:
$55 non-refundable registration fee
$30 non-consumable supply fee (your child can keep the supplies and use
them at home for further reading/spelling practice)
$345 camp/teacher fee per student (parents attend at
no charge)
Sorry, there is no childcare available for younger children.
