Thanks for the article on Nina. One of the fondest remembrances I have of my mom was the support and sympathy she showed me when gals in high school edged me out (I think I was the only Protestant in a Catholic school). A teen senses the protective love of a mom which need not extend to retribution against the attackers. It's that love that heals and probably a lot of those who exclude peers do not have it.
