Hip-Hop
to be Enhanced Next Year
by
Will Freedom
(LOUISVILLE,
KY) Inside sources, who have
chosen to remain anonymous, have stated that the controversial taxpayer
funded “Hip-Hop” concert was a limited success and will be upgraded
next year.
“It’s
not about breaking even or making money on the event.” The secret source
said.
“It’s about keeping African-American young people entertained
so they don’t ruin the Derby Festival.”
Next
year’s improvements are said to include, in addition to concerts, a
picnic and a mock riot complete with old patrol cars for the young folks
to vandalize, along with some hastily built shanties for them to burn.
The picnic will consist of fried chicken and barbecue followed by
watermelon.
The source said “The quadruple attraction of the concert, picnic,
riot AND watermelon, is sure to draw the young folks off of West Broadway
and on to the fairgrounds.”
On
a related note, those Irish-Americans are starting to cruise up and down
Baxter Avenue in the Phoenix Hill area and are also becoming a menace.
The taxpayers must deal with this Irish menace before they also
ruin the Derby festival.
Spokespersons for other ethnic groups say they also are planning
some mischief in order to land some free entertainment -- notably the
Poles and Germans who want some polka music and free beer with sausages.
More breaking news
later.
