Oil & gas industries ought not be blamed for the high cost of fuel. Taxation and regulation from federal, state & local governments are the cause of our high fuel prices.

Outraged consumers of fuel should be aware of the following taxes when they complain about the high cost of fuel: federal gas exise tax: 18.4 cents per gallon, federal diesel exise tax: 24.4 cents per gallon, federally mandated MTBE 10 cents per gallon, Kentucky gas exise tax 15 cents per gallon, Kentucky sales tax 6%, plus local taxes and
regulations.

"Gas-outs", "gasoline revolts" & government intervention should be
seen as anti-capitalist attacks against our oil & gas industries based on politically-correct, leftist economic fallacy. President Ronald Reagen got it right when he said, "Government is not the solution to our problem. Government is the problem."
