1 Special Edition:
“LOUISVILLE,.........WE
LUVVVVVV YAH”
One
of the rumors making its rounds through the government offices in
Louisville and Jefferson County is that Governor Paul Patton is
considering running for Mayor of the newly merging Metro Louisville.
When
questioned about it, Gov. Patton answered that since he was not able to
get the state legislature to enact laws on garbage and black lung and he
wasn’t looking forward to having to deal with the legislature every
year, he decided to move to a new position as mayor of Metro Louisville,
where they already have good garbage collection services and there are no
coal mines. He also readily
admitted that he would have to learn to like the color “red”; but the
job was just “too great to pass up”.
Gov. Patton also said he would name Terry Meiners as his campaign
manager. Meiners, long-time
local radio and television personality, will be a valuable asset to the
campaign team with all his contacts.
Also rumored is that Bob Sokolar will be named to head the team
that will work on merging the computer systems for the former city and
county governments. Gov.
Patton says “LOUISVILLE,.........WE
LUVVVVVV YAH. I am looking
forward to working with Terry - after all, he helped get Rick Pitino to
come to Louisville and I know he can get me elected.”
With
Terry Meiners at the helm, the citizens of Mega Louisville will not be
able to complain about a boring election!
