April 1 Special:

Louisville To Get A New Arena

Due to all the demonstrations over the Bucket and the Grizzles, County Judge Rebecca Jackson and Mayor Dave Armstrong have again joined forces and have pledged to raise money for a new arena WITHOUT using taxpayer money.  We were able to obtain a memo being circulated through the county offices and city hall asking for volunteers to man FOUR giant bake sales to be held on the Great Lawn in downtown Louisville.

Donations will be accepted from the following groups:

·        Corporate executives to be held on April 16 (Tax deadline day).

·        Sports figures to be held on May 5 (Derby Day).

·        Politicians to be held on May 8 (Primary Election Day).

·        TV, Radio personalities to be held on May 28 (Memorial Day).

According to the memo, the highlight of the bake sales will be at 7:30 p.m. on each of the sales days, when notables from each of the categories will present the desserts they have baked to be auctioned off to the highest bidder.  Not only will you be bidding for the baked goodies, but the notable will join you in the party you throw to eat the dessert with your friends.

Special invitations are rumored to have been sent to Paul Patton, Mitch McConnell, Anne Northup, all the county commissioners, all the aldermen, Tom Jurich, John L. Smith, Rick Pitino, Denny Crum, Terry Meiners, Mike Berry, Fuzzy Zeller, J. Bruce Miller, and other notables from radio, television and our local business world.

Make your plans to attend the bake sales and help our officials raise the needed money.  Just think about the party YOU can win with the host of YOUR choice.

Oh, yeah, have a happy April Fool Day!
