Kentucky State Senator Julie Denton's "Kentucky Lautenberg" bill SB81, =
which was refused as a "stand-alone bill" even by her own party's =
leadership of the Kentucky Senate, is back again as an amendment (SFA3 =
in HB1, and SFA2 in HB39) this time. For crying out loud make domestic =
assault and threats of domestic assault a FELONY, then prosecute =
violators and take away ALL their civil rights upon conviction, okay? =
But do NOT continue to deprive people of constitutional rights when they =
have not been CONVICTED of ANYTHING! =20

These are two bills that thanks to that amendment, needs your Kentucky =
Senator's attention. PLEASE! This bill will be on the Senate floor =
next week. It is essential that you CALL YOUR STATE SENATOR MONDAY to =
urge a "NO!" vote for Senate Floor Amendment 3 in HB1, and Senate Floor =
Amendment 2 in HB 39. We want to pass the bills themselves, and we like =
the other amendments, but we do NOT want Sen. Denton's unconstitutional =
amendment to pass with these bills.
