Alert –
Proposal
to amend concealed carry law
These
two women are going to pick up where Eleanor Jordan, Jim Wayne, Nancy Jo
Kemper, the Million Misled Mommies, HCI, VPC, Louis Coleman, Dave Stengel,
Dave Armstrong, & Jerry (Mayor for Life) Abramson left off. They want
to destroy what a lot of you worked hard for.
If
you want to send’em packing again, you had better start cranking up the
typewriters, word processors, and phone lines again. Rep. Gross Lindsay
has already said he will call it up in committee. This bill needs to die
and be buried in that committee.
These
are the committee members. You can see for yourself who need to be called
and pressed to vote NO on reporting the bill to the House floor favorably.

Subject: HB 298
House
Bill 298 is a thinly disguised effort by Representatives Kathy Stein of
Lexington and Mary Ann Marzian of Louisville to eliminate CCDW licenses.
It purports to be a "safety measure" designed to keep those with
less than perfect vision from getting a CCDW license
Call
now and ask your representative to oppose this bill in its entirety. We do
not want to get into a posture of arguing over whether someone may have a
license if their vision is 20/20 or 20/200. If an individual can pass the
objective tests currently in existence, namely the written test and the
firing test, the individual should get his/her license.
This
is a serious attempt to shut down concealed carry in Kentucky and must be
dealt with and treated as such.
Call
your representative as soon as possible. The line where you can leave a
message that will reach your representative is: 1-800-372-7181. Please
call. The good folks who take your messages will get them relayed very
quickly to your representative. Call ASAP. This one has to be eliminated
at once.
