A copy of correspondence we received from one of our readers concerning setting up telescopes for a children’s group to see the stars.  This group often sets up for school groups but encountered objections in doing the same for Zany Brainy.  The letter follows:

They're all so eager to set up for the government schools, which rape us through forcibly extracted taxes. They disdain setting up for Zany Brainy. "A private business? They make a profit..." A private business, that can only hope to persuade the customer, through courtesy and value, to part with his or her dollars.

Schools aren't non-profit! Teachers don't work for free! Last I heard, they are very well paid by their coercive government monopoly for only 180 days work per year and receive a fat pension as well.

AARRGH! Why does everyone suck up to the government propaganda camps? It just endorses their brand of "education" and tacitly approves of the whole rotten, over-funded, gold plated and bloated turd of a monopoly! Government schools are the problem. The mass of socialist leaning, non-critical thinking, left-wing agenda endorsing public has been brainwashed in them! We need separation of school and state.

Government-run schools and their confiscatory taxes - (school taxes at four billion, three hundred million dollars each and every year are the bulk of Colorado's budget!) - must be abolished. As the teachers and administrators stuff our dollars into their pockets, they have the brass to plead poverty and hold fund raisers to buy a globe! I will never lend these parasites my support. They hurt our quality of life through what they do and what they take through threat. Our club members need to wake up, take the "red pill" and get out of the matrix.
