Clark County Indiana Tea Party commentary on Judges

RETENTION OF JUDGES ON THE BALLOT:
“On this fall’s 2012 election ballot, you will find 2 Indiana Supreme Court justices, Justice Steven David and Justice Robert Rucker.
Justice Steven David ignored Indiana’s Castle Doctrine law in May, 2011 and gutted the Fourth Amendment with his decision in Barnes v Indiana. The Castle Doctrine allowed citizens to defend their homes against unlawful entry.

Justice Rucker showed his strong support for the Fourth Amendment and the Castle Doctrine in writing the minority opinion in that case.

Voters are asked on the ballot if they would like to retain a judge by answering the question with a ‘yes’ or ‘no’ answer. A simple majority of ‘no’ votes will remove a justice from the bench. A simple majority of ‘yes’ votes will retain a justice on the bench.

Please forward this information to all those on your personal e-mail lists in Indiana so we can blanket the state with the information you will find below; the reasoning of the case.”
