Brooks Wicker wants to repeal Obamacare

It is with disappointment that we learned of the Supreme Court’s decision to uphold the disaster that is ObamaCare. What we also learned today is that ObamaCare is exactly what I’ve been saying it is: a massive tax on Americans.

In order to take back control of our healthcare decisions from Washington bureaucrats, we must replace Democrats who passed and now refuse to repeal this disaster. We must end John Yarmuth’s tenure in Congress.

Millions of American families stand to suffer real-dollar losses from this legislative fiasco. They risk their current healthcare coverage and will thus be forced into taking the government’s version – which is exactly what the President and his supporters, like Mr. Yarmuth, wanted in the first place.

ObamaCare is an economic issue. It creates tax increases and unwieldy new regulations on small businesses that hamper their ability to create jobs.
I want to work with both Democrats and Republicans to find a lasting healthcare solution that will ensure we can protect these vulnerable groups the right way. This law doesn’t do that. Instead, it puts the onus for healthcare on the backs of our children and our grandchildren, without their approval. That’s wrong.

To end this disaster and to get on the path toward real, substantial health care fixes, we must work to unseat the unabashed ObamaCare supporter and ObamaCare rubber-stamp John Yarmuth from office.

The Affordable Care Act is the worst piece of legislation in my lifetime. It represents the largest tax increase in history at a time when our economy is still struggling, after three years of ineffective polices which my opponent has wholeheartedly endorsed. We need to move forward with reasoned, market-based solutions while protecting those among us with pre-existing conditions. I look forward to taking up that challenge in Congress.

Sincerely,
