Louisville 912 Meeting May 21: Implementing Obamacare in KY

Kentucky Governor Steve Beshear has been quietly implementing socialized medicine in this state since the early days of his first term. He has expanded Medicaid and is now well into the process of setting up ObamaCare, obligating us to participate whether the Supreme Court upholds the federal law or not. Worse, the legislature has quietly gone along with Beshear’s plan. In 2012, Beshear and the legislature budgeted $50 million to expand Medicaid eligibility and accepted another $60 million in federal funds to build a massive socialized medicine bureaucracy in Frankfort. David Adams has been watching all these activities closely all along. He will speak to us at our next meeting with a full update and details on what we can do to stop it before it’s too late.
