| Here is a list of the Tax Day Tea Parties we are aware of around the state. I am sure there may be more we missed and I apologize in advance. This list was comprised of e-mails from various groups and members but may not be complete. If you have an event or know of an event we missed please let us know.
Each listing has a contact for additional information. I know many of you have sites, blogs, and distribution list and may want to utilize this information and please feel free and do so. We are all in this together and that is what it is for. Grant County sponsored by Grant County Tea Party & 9/12 Date & Time: April 10th, 12:00 noon Place: Grant County Court House at front steps. www.grantcountykypatriots.webs.com Note: Let’s kick off “Tax Season” right with this tea party in Grant County. Special speakers and patriotic music to show support for our state and nation. Confirmed speakers, Congressman Geoff Davis and Leland Conway, radio talk show host of “The Pulse of Lexington” from WLAP radio Lexington, KY. Owensboro sponsored by KY Freedom / Owensboro Tea Party Date & Time: April 10th, 12:00 noon Place: North side of City Hall in Owensboro Note: Get warmed up for the Tax Day Tea Parties and come out Saturday for music and great speakers in Owensboro. Always a fabulous event and this year will be no exception. Speakers include Dr Rand Paul, Jim Waters, Dr Frank Simon, and other local candidates. We will once again have open microphone for those that have something they need to say, we have the platform and audience.
Louisville sponsored by the Louisville Grassroots Tea Party Date & Time: April 15th, 11:00 am Place: Downtown Louisville on Jefferson Square The one year anniversary of the TEA Party movement in downtown Louisville will be held on Thursday, April 15, 2010 from 11am to 1:30pm on Jefferson Square. This year’s edition of the 2nd Annual “Taxed Enough Already” Rally will include the following speakers who are confirmed: (Moderator) Jim Coyle (of the “We The People” Broadcast on AM-970WGTK), Marilyn Parker (The Mom Without a Teleprompter), Les Naiman (“The Voice of Liberty” 10p Sundays on WGTK), Louisville TEA Party President Dan Blanchard, US Senate Candidate Rand Paul, 3rd District Congressional candidates Larry Hausman, Todd Lally, Jeff Reetz and Brooks Wicker and Mayoral candidates Hal Heiner and Chris Thieneman (invited). Corpjester Comedian Mark Klein will be a special treat along with musical guests, Louisville’s own acappella vocal band, Water’s Edge.
Richmond (Madison County) sponsored by Spurlocks & 9/12 Date & Time: April 15th, 11:30am Place: Madison County Courthouse Lawn 859-514-7483 Janie and Barry Spurlock have scheduled the court house steps again for April 15 from 11:30 to 1:00PM. This always a great event and really good people in Richmond will be coming out to demonstrate their frustrations with Washington. Let’s join these Fellow taxpayers, and make this a loud and clear message to DC & Frankfort, WE Have Had Enough!!!!!
Covington (Northern KY) sponsored by Northern Kentucky Tea Party Date & Time: April 15th, 3:00pm Place: Goebel Park, MainStrasse Village in Covington, KY (under the Bell Tower) Final Destination: We’ll be marching to the IRS office and back to Goebel Park 859-912-0849 Join us at the Goebel Park (Mainstrasse/Clock Tower) in Covington it’s the 5th Street exit off Interstate 71/75. Park behind 5th Street Center building, than walk across street to Clock Tower Square. We will march from there to the IRS Building. It is guaranteed that George Washington and James Madison and possibly Paul Revere will attend this event. We will meet at 3:00pm on April 15. It should be over by 4:30pm. Time to go see Sean Hannity in Cincinnati. This isn’t a Republican or Democratic Event. It’s an event for people who have an abiding love for America and what she stands for.
Elizabethtown sponsored by Central Kentucky Tea Party Date & Time: April 15th, 4:30pm Place: Freeman Lake Park, Bandstand area in Elizabethtown We will have a live performer as well as some patriotic music. We also have a clown to entertain the children. Radio talk show host Les Naiman will be coming down from Louisville to speak. We will have a reading of a poem by Judge Roy Moore of Alabama. We hope to have a big crowd. Clowns, performers, music, speakers, poetry, and great patriotic people of Central Kentucky, what else do you need to celebrate tax day..
