What’s Needed Most?  The RESTORATION of America

Dear Patriots,

Remember that old, broken down, dilapidated ’65 Mustang that someone you know had in their garage for years?  Covered with the filmy dust of neglect, two tires flat, a window broken out and red paint badly faded?  And remember, after the years’ long, often tedious project of restoring it–according to its original specifications–how it looks today?  Bright red, shiny finish.  New whitewalls–just like the originals.  Good as new? Just like it was originally? but better than ever?

That’s exactly what our country needs.  Who ever asked ANY President to be all about “remaking America?”  That’s like turning a classic Mustang into a Yugo!  WHO asked for that?  I didn’t.  You didn’t.  Neither did tens of millions of others, including many who voted for him.  What we need is a RESTORATION OF AMERICA.  By its consitutional blueprint: removing all the residue of over-regulation, the grime of over-reaching government, the rust and ruin that finds America’s employment engine removed and hauled off to Washington.  It’s time to get our once great country off the blocks!  And it’s going to take all of us…to roll up our sleeves…and get busy restoring America.

(If you believe in what we’re doing in turning America back to its founding principles, please forward this email at the bottom left of the newsletter.  If each of you would forward to even 1 other concerned citizen, it would make a profound difference.  Thank you!)

Louisville TEA Party Endorses Rand Paul for US Senate

Why? Rand Paul’s message has been clearly and consistently driven by Constitutional principles.  The signature distinctions between Dr. Paul and his campaign opposition are his outside-the-establishment appeal and his unflinching commitment to term limits.  Additionally, Rand continues to criss-cross the state in making himself readily available to Kentuckians.  His easy demeanor and face-to-face accessibility make him very ‘of the People.’  The solutions most desperately needed by our Commonwealth and our country aren’t going to come from career politicians from either party.   Rand Paul offers a refreshing alternative to the reckless, irresponsible, business-as-usual politics that characterize Washington.

April 1st TEA Party Social/Volunteers Mtg @ John E’s!

We have a real treat in store… Tomorrow, April 1st, from 6:30-8:30pm, our next TEA Party Social will be held at John E’s Restaurant, 3708 Bardstown Road, about a half mile south of the Watterson Expressway (I-264, Exit 16).  John Shanchuk has graciously afforded us the use of a private corporate meeting room that seats 80.  We’ll need every seat as the March 4th Social had about 75 in attendance.  Wendy Caswell, Event Coordinator and Rachel Ford, Secretary for the Louisville TEA Party Board will be there to facilitate and help everyone get connected and involved.  Louisville TEA Party President Dan Blanchard will preview the April 15th 2nd Annual Tax Day Freedom Rally.

Please note: If you are from another area grassroots group and have AN ANNOUNCEMENT TO SHARE, please email it to louisvilleteaparty@gmail.com by NOON APRIL 1st or submit it to one of the event organizers when you arrive.  Come out.  Vent.  Share.  Get involved.  Please bring your thirst and your appetite so we can reciprocate, with our patronage, John E’s hospitality for this wonderful space.

A Reminder to ALL T.E.A. Party Participants & Observers:

The Mission of the Louisville Grassroots TEA Party is…

“….to advocate for low taxes, responsible fiscal policies, strong national defense and smaller, less intrusive government. We will accomplish our advocacy by organizing peaceful gatherings, supporting like-minded local, state, and federal candidates and educating the community at large.” (fm. our website linked below)

Our rallies have been nothing but peaceful, characterized by energy, enthusiasm, patriotic dissent and mutual respect.  And they always will be.  Our politically diverse Board (and event organizers) will not tolerate the presence of anyone whose actions do not reflect these values.   That any of this could possibly be about race is no less than absurd, as those responsible for taking our country down this unacceptable path are from numerous ethnicities represented by all three branches of government. As Martin Luther King Jr. said: “Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that.  Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that.”   We could not agree more and we would not have it any other way.
