1) Tell the operator you would like to leave a message for the HOUSE NATURAL RESOURCES AND ENVIRONMENT COMMITTEE MEMBERS: “I am opposed to HB 491; the Carbon Management Bill. This legislation will kill Kentucky Jobs and raise our utility bills.”
2) Leave a message with your HOUSE Representative letting them know you oppose this bill.
- This bill is set up to set restrictions on CO2.
- They want to take your land through eminent domain for the storage of this CO2 if need be
- This will drive the large employers such as Ford & Toyota out of Kentucky
- Increase or utility bills
- There has been no Environmental Impact study. If this is done, then we need to demand they do a study to find out what organisms in the ground, where they want to store this CO2. This bill will die if they do.
- This will also cost the state an untold amount of money in starting up this program.
